Which band is the best for a Mobile Phone to be used worldwide?Is it quadband?
I would like to use only one sim card whenever I travel in different countries. So which band is the best to use for that purpose?
quadband is the best and you should make sure you have it if you intend to travel. providers often operate on different frequencies and if you don’t have that particular frequency it won’t work.
and what do you mean you would only like to use one sim card wherever you travel. i’m not sure if i understand you right, but the frequency does not depend on the sim card. it will be cheaper for you to just buy Prepaid Sim cards in those countries. these prepaid sim cards will only work on unlocked phones. so make sure your phone is not locked to a particular service provider. your other alternative is to sign up for an expensive international plan with your carrier if you want to keep the same sim card in it. that’s very expensive though and I wouldn’t recommend that. the benefit of a phone with sim cards is that you can exchange the sim cards and therefore are able to save a lot of money if you travel and have much more flexibility. so you should make use of that.
